Te Kura Huna

Te Kura Huna

The hidden treasures

In te reo Māori, te kura huna means important knowledge, hidden treasure, or sacred, esoteric lore (intended for or likely only understood by a few people).

Kura can mean red, a school, or precious/valuable things, traditional knowledge, and sacred teachings as in whare kura or kura wānanga. Huna means hidden, concealed or kept secret.

Often, we pass by everyday scenes and objects without a thought, though they can reveal knowledge and beauty to the curious, of the people or places that influence their existence. Those hidden treasures of curiosity.
